To mark the official launch of its Malaysia branch, global cultural content company TEAM8 Partners has signed a new strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DeArt82, a leading cultural and artistic organization based in Korea.

The two parties have already built a strong collaborative history in Korea, including joint participation in the “Global Tour of Emerging Technologies in Art” project led by the Korea Content Promotion Committee. Notably, their partnership resulted in the successful NFT art sales at London’s Saatchi Gallery and an immersive media art exhibition at Outernet London, both earning global recognition.

This newly signed MOU serves not just as a continuation of their partnership, but as a major expansion into Southeast Asia through the establishment of TEAM8 Partners' Malaysia branch, forming a new platform for global cultural exchange and collaboration.

Under the agreement, both parties have committed to close cooperation in the following areas:

  • Joint business development, marketing, and strategy in the cultural and creative industries

  • Co-development of projects and partnerships leveraging each party’s resources and infrastructure

  • Cross-border cultural exchange programs and co-production of content between Korea and Malaysia

  • Global collaboration in branding, artistic creation, and marketing among artists, creators, and institutions

DeArt82 has been at the forefront of public and independent art initiatives in Korea, including collaborations with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, local governments, and private institutions. Its portfolio spans public art, contemporary exhibitions, emerging artist incubation, and international exchange programs—particularly recognized for its innovative fusion of interdisciplinary art, digital media, and social impact content.

TEAM8 Partners stated, “This agreement is not just a formal partnership—it’s the natural extension of years of proven creative collaboration with DeArt82. Our newly launched Malaysia branch will serve as a vital hub for accelerating the global expansion of Korean content, art, and brands into Southeast Asia.”

Kang Hyung Lee, Director of DeArt82, added, “Through our partnership with TEAM8, we look forward to introducing Korea’s unique artistic content to audiences in Malaysia and beyond, while also co-creating new works with local artists and institutions.”

Following the signing, both parties plan to initiate cultural projects across Malaysia and the ASEAN region, with the aim of evolving into a globally recognized platform for international artistic collaboration.
