Team 8 Partners has announced a partnership with ‘TheArt82’, an online art platform based on IT technology that offers high-resolution archiving and streaming services.
TheArt82 has acquired gigapixel photography technology capable of expressing up to 10 billion pixels. The platform operates by providing archiving and ultra-high-resolution viewing services for artists and their works. Users can enjoy viewing without buffering, a service that boasts faster speeds than Google Arts & Culture.

As part of this project, TheArt82 provided viewing services through digital signage after gigapixel photography of the ‘Dokdo Old Map’ stored in the National Assembly Library of Korea. This project allowed the public to view restricted artifacts on a large screen without any loss of resolution, making even the smallest details of the old map visible. Visitors provided positive feedback, especially noting the clear identification of 'Dokdo', which was not visible to the naked eye.
South Korea has disputes with neighboring countries over Dokdo. This project significantly increased the foot traffic to the National Assembly Library, which was not frequently visited by the public. It also achieved a significant increase in visitors, reaching 1.2 million during the exhibition period (a 3000% increase compared to the same period last year) due to endorsements from celebrities and continuous Instagram posts.

Through the partnership with TheArt82, Kim & Kheem Partners is actively pursuing joint projects and collaborations with international museums and galleries. Beyond securing IP rights for artists and their works, Kim & Kim Partners also aims to acquire IP rights for iconic pieces from museums and galleries. The company offers an all-in-one service that includes curating, creating interactive signage, installing signage zones, and providing comprehensive consulting for promotion and marketing using these IPs.
