Team8 Partners Participates in FDM 2025 Following Establishment of Malaysian Entity– Strategic Platform for Korean Brands Entering the OIC Market


Team8 Partners officially participated in Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL 2025, held from 1 to 3 July at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, following the establishment of its Malaysian entity. The event, supported by Malaysia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) and MATRADE, gathered over 450 exhibitors and 18,000 trade visitors from across the region and beyond.

During the exhibition, Team8 Partners attended the FDM2025 Halal Forum alongside key Malaysian partners. Discussions focused on JAKIM’s halal certification system, the future of the global halal industry, and business models rooted in ethics and cultural values. Forum participants included leading halal authorities and companies such as Mamee, Ayam Brand, QSR Brands, and Verify Halal.


Team8 Partners expressed its commitment to playing a strategic role as a gateway between Korea and OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) markets, with Malaysia serving as a central hub. The company aims to provide practical support for Korean brands expanding into halal-certified markets.

At the Korean Pavilion, Team8 Partners held business meetings with various Korean food and beauty brands, addressing key topics such as JAKIM certification guidance, local distribution partnerships, and branding strategies tailored for OIC countries. The delegation was also joined by Korean government representatives, who engaged in on-site consultations to explore new policy directions and market opportunities.


Based on the outcomes of the forum and business consultations, Team8 Partners will focus on building a strategic foothold for Korean brands seeking to enter OIC markets, with Malaysia as the operational base.


The company plans to expand its collaborative ecosystem across branding, certification, distribution, and education, providing a comprehensive platform to facilitate successful halal market entry for Korean enterprises.
