Team8 Partners has formally launched a comprehensive end-to-end service supporting Korean companies entering the global Halal economy, beginning with Malaysia’s JAKIM certification and extending through to market entry, distribution, and brand marketing across OIC member states. The initiative is designed to offer Korean brands a structured, low-friction pathway into a consumer base of over two billion Muslims worldwide.
Malaysia remains the strategic gateway to the Halal economy, recognised as one of the most advanced Islamic markets and home to JAKIM, whose certification is mutually recognised by 48 countries and 92 institutions. Widely regarded as a global “master key,” JAKIM’s system enables a single certification to unlock export routes into Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Team8 Partners aims to streamline this process for Korean companies, providing an integrated compliance and execution framework tailored to international Halal standards.
Alongside the new service, Team8 Partners has launched a structured training programme for Korean enterprises. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of Halal, JAKIM certification requirements, HAS system establishment, documentation and audit readiness, and post-certification commercial strategy. The programme guides companies through the entire certification journey—from initial feasibility assessment and document preparation to factory audits, certification approval, and eventual market deployment.
To address the critical gap between certification and actual commercial performance, Team8 Partners also offers a suite of post-entry services. These include local partner and distributor matching, marketing activation, 3PL and fulfilment setup, and global or regional D2C infrastructure development. The company emphasises that certification marks the beginning rather than the end of the market journey, noting that the six months following approval are decisive for long-term success.
Team8 Partners will also initiate the Korea–Malaysia Halal Excellence Consortium, working with Malaysian authorities and Korean institutions to support a coordinated national approach to Halal exports. “Our role is to provide Korean brands with the safest, most efficient route into the Halal economy,” the company stated. “This is a pivotal moment for Korean enterprises to establish a new chapter of global growth.”
